But just so that you don't go into this week without Nuit's guidance, here is the basic lo-down:
We just had a New Moon occur in Taurus at 16 degrees. The exact time was 3:29 pm ET. New Moons are all moments to begin a new; they are also a time of low ebb in the energy. With the 5 retrograde planets we have going right now, it might be good to have some down time to reboot. This is a time to indulge in the senses. Good food, good wine, quality materials and things that feel good.
Taurus rules the bright side of the year. And so, we are invited to brighten the way our lives look. Time to upgrade in quality!
What does value look like to you? What we value tends to be what we, consciously or not, believe will facilitate our happiness. Ultimately its happiness that we are after! And what we value speaks to how we think this happiness can arrive.
Taurus would like to help us bring life to that which makes us happy, to animate it (amima= soul; to bring soul to something is to animate it). The New Moon in Taurus reminds to to go toward our joy, even in the seemingly smallest things. That is the bread crumb trail to increased happiness.
The Taurus New Moon is also about loving what is, the way that it is. In other words, unconditional love! So few of us know how to truly love ourselves without condition. We're so often proving our worth so strenuously, hurting ourselves in the process, imagining that it will bring us happiness down the road someday. This is not love! And when is someday?
Some day is today. Taurus teaches us about the NOW. Presence. Abundance. The way the grass grows without anyone needing to harass it into producing; the way flowers bloom for Joy, the way that the air warms and the birds sing.
The five retrograde planets are taking us on a kind of "A Christmas Carol" trip, with tour guides the Spirits of Past, Present, and Future. This is where you have been, this is what your deeds have wrought, and this is where you are headed if you don't change your trajectory...
So whaddaya think? Do you like what you see? The good news is that, if not, you can change things if you act now. Perhaps we can now see some areas of life in which we've been kinda stingy, where we've held onto things and gotten stuck for fear of losing. Scrooge had good reason to be an asshole; we learn in the movie that he was emotionally abused and left behind and not really cared about very much. He did not get his needs met. So he became a hoarder and tyrant, which is the shadow side of Taurus. I'm not saying that you are just like Scrooge, but we all have Taurus someplace in our charts; maybe we can learn new ways of confronting fear of losing, and open up to new possibilities for cooperation and connection. How might we be more generous and life-affirming?
Jupiter goes direct on Monday. This is GREAT news! Some new opportunities may arise where things were stalling for a while. The meaning behind some of what might look like senseless difficulty could be revealed, and we'll be like oh THAT's what this is about! Wow! Jupiter will help us experience or own truth with better clarity, and we'll begin to be able to express that truth in the world as he moves forward. Think of a flower opening!
And I of course did not forget about our weekly card:
The Two of Cups!
We've picked this one 3 times now! What are the chances?? This card speaks to our relationship with ourlsves as well as with others. Our relationship to our values and our happiness.
Thank you again for all of your support, and lots of Love and Light to you!!!!!
