Jupiter moved into Scorpio on Tuesday. The planet of Truth and Vision moves into the sign of sexuality, magick, creation and destruction. Higher consciousness reaches ito the realm of Shadow, and the light comes on.
This placement gives us the impetus to look more deeply, or respect (re= again, spect=look; look again) into the dark.
Jupiter is about exploration and travel, and the Underworld is the terrain. Jupiter is about holiness, and the Scorpio is the burial ground. Jupiter is about opportunity, and Scorpio is about healing the deepest tramuas we've got. Jupiter is about new perspectives, and Scorpio is about intimacy.
Some people may suddenly be experiencing flashbacks of past violations that are held deep within the emotional and mental bodies. Scorpio is a water sign, and it has to do with the impressions that are made by events in our lives. Or in past lives. Or even in the lives of our ancestors. It runs that deep.
The past is as maleable as the future, though we tend not to see it that way. We have the sense that only the future is under our control, and we tend to live there. We also live in the past. But really, how do you know that there is anything but that which is happening right now? Where does the past exsist? Or the future? The only place you can find the past or the future is in the mind. The past changes based on what we believe about it. With Jupiter in Scorpio, new perspectives and information may emerge to change our sense of what happened in the past. The future and the past meet in the present, which is the only true place of power.
Jupiter is about belief, and traveling through Scorpio, he is going to help us get right with beliefs from the past that cause current suffering. Combined with Saturn's current clean-up in Sag, joined by Black Moon Lilith, we are getting the intensive workshop in who-we-are-vs-who-we-believe-that-we-are. It takes a lot of energy to keep believing something that isn't true! Our true nature is dying to come out to be seen in all her/his glory! It'll be a lot less exahusting, even if we lose a few "friends" in the process. We'll probabaly gain better ones anyway.
Remember that Jupiter is about abundance and gifts from the universe, and Scorpio is about orgasm! Sexuality is one of the best vehicles for creating expanded consciousness and well being. This is a of course a very complex topic that is beyond the scope of what I can write about here, involving many psychological, physical, emotional, social, spiritual and cultural dynamics. But that's whats amazing about Scorpio isnt it? Complexity and depth. Scorpio is about the complex connections bewteen the many aspects of ourselves that make up our sexuality. Jupiter in Scorpio is an opportunity to recognize (re= again, cognize= to think about) the distortion of taboo as holy once more.
So...what else is going on this week? Well, thank goodness Venus and Mars are getting out of range from their squares with Saturn. Ugh. That wasn't that cute this past week. We should get a few roadblocks cleared from here. That said, the Lovers are still within range of opposing Chiron, which is also not cute. Let's trot out a few wounds and get this Jupiter in Scorpio party started right!!! Haha! Well, Jupiter in Scorpio is going to bring in some pretty excellent stuff. So dont let this moment fool you into thinking its not going to be "good" as well. We just need to do the work to get the goodies.
Mercury joins Jupiter in Scorpio next Tues, getting us to look even deeper into the dark. And we have a New Moon in Libra to finish up Libra season and set up a new cycle. But we'll talk amore about that in the next report!

Can you believe its Sept already? Here in Ireland the leaves are starting to change just a bit, and the Sun is going down earlier now. In a few weeks we'll have the Fall Equinox, which is a very special and powerful time! We'll get to that in reports to come, but for this report we're going to focus on the week ahead....which includes a Full Moon in Pisces!
I'm writing this week's report as I am still recovering from a neck injury I got 3 weeks ago. This week was particularly challenging, so I am made an appointment with a great acupunturist and I'm getting rest I need.
Onto the astrology...
As you may remember....uh...we had big doings in the sky on the 21st...doings which included the Sun being completely blotted out by the Moon in the middle of the day! Haha! Certainly THAT ought to have an effect....and it did on most of us. As you also may know, all solar eclispes are new moons. This means that they are the beginning of a lunation cycle, which culminates at the full Moon. And as the Moon continues to wax to fullness on Sept 6, the energies continue to bulid toward another culmination.
Its a Full Moon in Pisces, sign of the sea...and its conjunct Neptune, Pisces' ruling planet and God of the Oceans. There is a flood-- literally, as we've seen in Houston, Texas with Hurricane Harvey (as well as other places in the world)---but also emotionally, as water is the element of feeling and the unconscious.
The alchemists refer to the transmutuation of energy via water as the dissolutio. A symbolic immersion that rebaptizes us and washes away accumulated armoring and baggage. The black crow dissolves to reveal its purest, truest self. The ashes from the eclipse dissolve in the waters. What we don't need... disolves. The word "solve" and "solution" share the same root as the word "dissolve"; the water element potentially offers medicine for what ails us. This may seem strange or even insensitive to say considering the devastation that has been caused via flooding. Perhaps there is much to meditate on. Water is about emotional connection, the deep unconcious, ad LOVE. Eclipses alter our lives irrevocably; we respond personally, and Nature responds on a larger scale as well. Surrender, sacrifice, service, compassion, dreams and rebrith are some of the key words of this full Moon. Boundaries dissolve, and illusions are lifted.
There's fire, too, though. Just prior to the Full Moon, Mars and Mercury (retro, then stationing) make a conjunction on the Leo eclipse point. Those of you who are patrons can read the entire astro-alert that I sent out to that effect.) There is the possilbilty for fated confrontations that have been a long time brewing....maybe about things that occured around the time of the eclipse. Be careful of accidents...both physical and verbal...and take care to move with some caution. But say what you need to say...don't hold it in lest you make yourself ill later. It's important to stand up for yourself. Stay sovereign rather then reactive.
The Full Moon can be a time of heightened creativity, but there may be a melancholy tone to it as well. Things come up from the deep waters of the unconscious, having been disturbed and dislodged by the shifts and tides brought about by eclipses. The eclipses provided the shock and the realizations; the Full Moon provides us the opportunity for healing and renewal.
