Mercury starts to slow down again so that he can change directions once more, moving forward again on the 25th. As he stations, he remains in contact with the revolutionary Uranus/Pluto square. This is a crucial window of opportunity for us to get less certain about what we think is true! If a belief holds you back, it is time to replace it with a better one.
I really can't say enough that we are not our thoughts. They are not separate from us either, or necessarily out of our control. They are to be neither a center of identity nor an outside agent acting upon us. They are vehicles that we are in ownership of, that we have the power to make choices about. Whether we realize it or not, we CHOOSE every thought we have. They don't just "happen" to us. Even those of us who have disorders of thought, or who have mental illness, can practice paying attention to what feels good to think, and what does not. Just starting with this awareness can bring some ease. Bringing more consciousness to the choice making process of our thoughts can begin to override the tyranny of the unconscious mind. This may seem like a lot, but just getting started in small ways can bring movement.
Pluto Mercury can have to do with obsessive thinking as well as repetitive issues that come from habitual thought patterns. This is a great opportunity to inquire deeply and ask: what might I be getting out of thinking negatively? What counter-commitment might be present that keeps me from seeing things to my benefit? It's all about "the wolf we feed".
