“For Mercy has a human heart;
Pity, a human face;
And Love, the human form divine:
And Peace the human dress."
--William Blake, Songs of Innocence
The report is written this week :) Feeling a bit under the weather. But I do want to tell you about a few things!
The big events are:
-Venus moves into Pisces Sat Feb 10
-Sun squares Jupiter Sat Feb 10
-Mercury squares Jupiter as well, Feb 13
-Sun sextile Uranus Feb 13th
-Solar Eclispe (New Moon) in Aquarius at 27 degrees Thurs Feb 15th
I mean...the big BIG event is of course the Eclispe. When we have an eclipse week, these events of shadow and revelation steal the show.
The Solar Eclipse is a New Moon on steroids! Pow! A door opens, and things come in, and they go out. The events that happen are "permanent" (in quotes because nothing is permanent ulimately, right?). They will not be able to be put back the way they were. Things shift in a way that causes us to move forward. Through the door we go. The eclipse moment is liminal space; we get an opportunity to shape shift into our next phase of development.
This eclipse is in Aquarius, which is visionary and future minded. What do we wish to dream up? What is our relationship to community? Are the communities we are currently involved with helpful to our overall growth?
Not everyone is psyched about "community". Many of us have had difficult experiences in groups of people, and some of us are simply more introverted. All eclipses reveal something that has been hidden in shadow; this can be a time when wounds around group involvment come out to be healed. We reevaluate the community activies we're involved in--we could take steps to become more or less involved. Eclipses can precipitate a crisis of some kind; the house in which the Solar Eclipse occurs in your personal chart can tell you which area of life these themes will play out in.
Perhaps in the past we've had a vision for something that disappointingly did not come to fruition. The eclipse can help open up a different way to look at things, and a new opportunity to acheive new goals. Aquarius has to do with ones personal uniquness within the context of the collective; we all have a special medicine, or genius (genesis, origin, originating within), that only we can offer. We are human, and we're made out of stardust. We can write a new story in the stars and bring it down to earth through our being.
Venus moves into Pisces, a sign in which She is said to be exalted. This is the Goddess of Love and Beauty at her most refined. This is Aphrodite coming out of the Sea. Venus in Pisces emphasizes the spiritual aspects of sexuality and love. I think of the medieval idea of Courtly Love, a generally unconsumated, longing-based demonstration of love in which a knight carries out services and/or journeys in his Lady's name.
Sun and Mercury both square Jupiter, making things bigger...though it remains to be seen if they are better! The Jupiter in Scorpio theme of expanded consciousness in the darker areas of life will be further activated. We get a general energetic uplift though that will be welcome to most. Our minds need to keep broadening and deepening to see more points of view.
We are prompted to continue to expand our vision and allow for an influx of new ideas as The Sun makes a harmonious aspect to Uranus. I see this as a boost to the potentially liberating energy of the Aquarius eclipse. Let the exciting intuitive downloads and the visions for an amazing furture ahead commence! The sky's the limit!
