Can you believe its Sept already? Here in Ireland the leaves are starting to change just a bit, and the Sun is going down earlier now. In a few weeks we'll have the Fall Equinox, which is a very special and powerful time! We'll get to that in reports to come, but for this report we're going to focus on the week ahead....which includes a Full Moon in Pisces!
I'm writing this week's report as I am still recovering from a neck injury I got 3 weeks ago. This week was particularly challenging, so I am made an appointment with a great acupunturist and I'm getting rest I need.
Onto the astrology...
As you may remember....uh...we had big doings in the sky on the 21st...doings which included the Sun being completely blotted out by the Moon in the middle of the day! Haha! Certainly THAT ought to have an effect....and it did on most of us. As you also may know, all solar eclispes are new moons. This means that they are the beginning of a lunation cycle, which culminates at the full Moon. And as the Moon continues to wax to fullness on Sept 6, the energies continue to bulid toward another culmination.
Its a Full Moon in Pisces, sign of the sea...and its conjunct Neptune, Pisces' ruling planet and God of the Oceans. There is a flood-- literally, as we've seen in Houston, Texas with Hurricane Harvey (as well as other places in the world)---but also emotionally, as water is the element of feeling and the unconscious.
The alchemists refer to the transmutuation of energy via water as the dissolutio. A symbolic immersion that rebaptizes us and washes away accumulated armoring and baggage. The black crow dissolves to reveal its purest, truest self. The ashes from the eclipse dissolve in the waters. What we don't need... disolves. The word "solve" and "solution" share the same root as the word "dissolve"; the water element potentially offers medicine for what ails us. This may seem strange or even insensitive to say considering the devastation that has been caused via flooding. Perhaps there is much to meditate on. Water is about emotional connection, the deep unconcious, ad LOVE. Eclipses alter our lives irrevocably; we respond personally, and Nature responds on a larger scale as well. Surrender, sacrifice, service, compassion, dreams and rebrith are some of the key words of this full Moon. Boundaries dissolve, and illusions are lifted.
There's fire, too, though. Just prior to the Full Moon, Mars and Mercury (retro, then stationing) make a conjunction on the Leo eclipse point. Those of you who are patrons can read the entire astro-alert that I sent out to that effect.) There is the possilbilty for fated confrontations that have been a long time brewing....maybe about things that occured around the time of the eclipse. Be careful of accidents...both physical and verbal...and take care to move with some caution. But say what you need to say...don't hold it in lest you make yourself ill later. It's important to stand up for yourself. Stay sovereign rather then reactive.
The Full Moon can be a time of heightened creativity, but there may be a melancholy tone to it as well. Things come up from the deep waters of the unconscious, having been disturbed and dislodged by the shifts and tides brought about by eclipses. The eclipses provided the shock and the realizations; the Full Moon provides us the opportunity for healing and renewal.
