The Goddess Through the Gates: A Venus Retrograde Immersion: Begins October 7 2026
Inanna is the Sumerian goddess of love and war, Queen of Heaven. Her star is Venus, and we’ll work with the archetypal reading of her descent.
Inanna went to the Underworld to make a bid for rulership, and the Underworld demanded a price. At each of the seven gates a doorkeeper removed one of her ornaments, and the ornaments were her powers:
the turban, the lapis at her throat, the pectoral, the gold ring, the measuring rod and line, the dress of queenship
She arrived before her sister Erishkigal with nothing, and was initiated into the laws of the Palace Below.
We will work alongside the astrological timing of Venus’s 2026 retrograde and return.
In Scorpio she wants everything or she wants nothing, and she will go down into the dark to find out which. In Libra, she craves and values beauty, but she also seeks justice.
Over six weeks you will set things down at the gates. You will meet Ereshkigal: grieving, unwitnessed, waiting a long time for someone to look at her. Innana finds her other self, and becomes more than she could if she was only the sunlit one. You will identify your golden/bright self and your shadow self, bringing them together at your center. Integrating.
And then the return. You take back what you choose. Some of it will feel different as you take it back. Some of it you will leave down there. What no longer serves stays under the ground to compost so that the rest of you can rule.
How we’ll work:
Wednesdays, six weeks, October 7th to November 11th.
Six weeks, following Venus through her retrograde. Three distance packages and three live gatherings, alternating.
The gatherings run 2.5 hours on Wednesdays

A private Discord community runs for the full six weeks, for questions, ritual reports, and company between gatherings.
- Package one, October 7th. Venus has stationed retrograde at eight degrees of Scorpio. The approach and the inventory.
- Gathering one, October 14th. We open. The first gates, and what you have come for.
- Package two, October 21st. The ornaments set down. On the 23rd Venus meets the Sun at the last degree of Scorpio, invisible, the deepest point, and a new Venus cycle begins in that darkness.
- Gathering two, October 28th. Venus crossed into Libra on the 25th. movement, the seven gates, the transformation.
- Package three, November 4th. The meeting of Light Self and Dark Self.
- Gathering three, November 11th. The reclaiming and the rise. Venus stations direct on the 13th.
